Getting to Myrtle Beach by Air

Myrtle Beach: Myrtle Beach is home to Myrtle Beach International Airport - which is not quite as grand as it sounds. On the plus side, the airport is small, easy to meet people in, and easy to get in and out of. For those searching online for flights, the airport code is "MYR". Travel time by car from the airport to the wedding location would be about 20 minutes. Most of the major car rental places have counters at the airport (including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Hertz, and Thrifty), but keep in mind that it is not a large place, so book early. There is a shuttle service available take people to Kingston Plantation, although it will cost $20 per person. We are working on getting alternate transportation arranged - check back later for more information.
The big name airlines that service Myrtle Beach directly are US Air (usually connecting in Charlotte, NC) Continental (with service to Newark for you Jersey folks) and Delta (usually connecting in Atlanta). For smaller airlines, you can try Myrtle Beach Direct, which flies to and from Newark, NJ and Scranton, PA, among others. Spirit Airlines is another popular choice, with direct flights from Atlantic City and various other locations.

Wilmington, NC: Wilmington International Airport (ILM) would be about a 90-minute drive to the wedding location. Delta, US Air, and Allegiant Air all make stops in Wilmington.

Florence, SC: Florence Regional Airport (FLO) is also about a 90-minute drive - Delta and US Air both fly there.
